GOTV - Vote at Home

Vote at Home

The Missouri Disability Vote Project firmly believes that people with disabilities can and should exercise our right to vote at our local polling places, and we actively advocate for full accessibility in the electoral process. However, recent surveys indicate that at least 70% of Missouri’s polling places are not fully accessible to people with disabilities. Until we can improve physical access to the vote, Missourians with disabilities have the right to vote from home in every election. The Permanently Disabled Absentee Voting List (PDAVL) is a list of voters with disabilities who are signed up to vote at home, which is maintained by the local election authority (county clerk or election board) in each county in the State of Missouri. Once you join the list, you will automatically receive a Request for Absentee Ballot in the mail from your local election authority before each election. If you complete and return this request by the deadline, your election authority will send you an absentee ballot. You always have the option of voting in person on Election Day without being removed from the list.
