Accessible Exercise/Health and Wellness

The accessible exercise program offered through the EMC is funded by the Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH). A dozen different pieces of accessible exercise equipment are available for MFH study participants. Programs are administered by EMC staff including occupational therapists, a physical therapist and physical therapy assistant. All participants receive a health handbook which provides a wealth of information for persons with disabilities seeking healthcare services, exercise programs, and community resources. Upon completion of the 12-week study, participants may enroll in the EMC fee-for-service exercise program or seek out accessible programs in their community.
