Architectural Access Surveys
For individuals, businesses, and community organizations
Paraquad provides Accessibility and ADA Compliance Surveys for homes, businesses, and non-profit organizations. The architectural specialist visually inspects a facility to assess conformity with the current statutory requirements. Our inspection consists of a walk-through of the facility to address the accessible path to and through the building, use of public areas on the building property and any additional modifications necessary to create a more accessible environment.
Public Building Surveys
Does your office, store, facility, or house of worship comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act? Paraquad can perform an onsite survey of your building to unearth any infractions against this very complicated piece of government legislation. The survey would include, but not be limited to, the review of the accessible parking areas, the accessible path from the parking area to the building entrances and the entry width, door closing speeds and force required to operate doors; accessible paths within the building, signage and other way finding methods, protruding objects in the public line of travel; stairway and ramp handrail requirements; elevator requirements; bathrooms and drinking fountain clearance requirements.
If extensive modifications are required, we can design and produce construction drawings to initiate the construction process. Paraquad has provided these services on numerous occasions and routinely lectures and writes about the ADA and accessibility issues. Compliance with the ADA does not have to be expensive. A review of your construction drawings prior to construction may prevent costly modifications once the project is complete.
Home Access Surveys
Paraquad provides onsite evaluation and assessment of architectural barriers to increase accessibility of consumer's home. Services include an identification of consumer’s needs, home accessibility review, and development of written summary for home modifications. We perform workman’s compensation home evaluations and other access assessments for purpose of litigation as well.
