In-Home Services (IHS)
In-Home Services assists eligible individuals to remain in their own homes while receiving home-based aide services to assist with activities of daily living. This allows for individuals with disabilities and seniors to remain independent in their own home. Qualified and trained aides can assist with the following activities:
- Personal Care
- Homemaker Chores
- Respite Care
- Advanced Personal Care
- Nurse Visits
- Laundry
- Essential Errands
In order to be eligible for this program an individual must reside in St. Louis City or St. Louis County. The individual must have Medicaid, private insurance with long term care options, VA funding through Veterans Home Care, or be capable of paying out of pocket. Individuals on Medicaid will need to meet Missouri Division of Senior and Disability Services (DSDS) requirements. DSDS will complete an assessment to determine the individual’s needs and forward a personalized care plan to Paraquad. Once a care plan is received, Paraquad will assign an appropriate aide and begin services within 7 days. All aides are screened by the Missouri State Family Care Safety Registry. Aides are CPR/First Aid certified and are insured and bonded. Paraquad offers continued training for aides to ensure quality in-home services.
