What is AccessibleSTL?

AccessibleSTL establishes a partnership between Paraquad and St. Louis businesses, organizations and government entities to create a more inclusive, accessible city. AccessibleSTL combines technical assistance, training and education to support the program participants in the quest to increase accessibility for employees, customers and patrons who have disabilities.

AccessibleSTL Services

Paraquad’s AccessibleSTL program provides a wealth of training and technical assistance for businesses,organizations and government entities working to increase inclusion in the St. Louis community. We provide the following services: ADA site assessments, customized training and education, policy review and development and on-going technical assistance.

  • ADA Site Assessments: Trained staff will conduct a technical survey of facilities to ensure accessibility compliance according to the ADA. Once an assessment is conducted, Paraquad will provide the organization with a comprehensive report and presentation of findings, recommendations and personal consultation based on the facilities survey results.
  • Customized Training and Education: Paraquad staff has collected expertise in a wide array of areas to best meet the needs of the program participants. Training topics include but are not limited to:
  1. The ADA and how it affects business
  2. The real scoop on hiring people with disabilities
  3. Disability awareness and customer service
  4. Other customized training to meet specific needs and requests
  • Policy Review and Development Assistance: Paraquad Experts can assist with review and development of policies to ensure equal access for people with disabilities, including:
  1. Non Discrimination Policy
  2. Reasonable Accommodation Policy
  3. Alternative Format Policy
  4. Sign Language Interpreter Policy
  • Technical Assistance: Participants in the AccessibleSTL program receive ongoing technical assistance to support the goal of creating inclusion for everyone in the St. Louis community.
