Come and learn from Deb Dagit, the former vice president and chief diversity officer at Merck, and a highly sought after consultant and speaker on topics of diversity and inclusion.

How to Be a Visible and Effective Ally

Participants in this interactive session will learn proven and practical strategies for creating an environment that leads to people with disabilities being comfortable at work. Attendees will explore the business case, the medical vs. social/civil rights model, disability etiquette and how to foster disability allies, emulating successful strategies utilized in the LGBTQ community.

An Ally’s Perspective

Emily Bear, Human Resources Manager at Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch; Michelle Rahn, Human Resources Lead, Global Biotechnology at Monsanto; Kiley Rawson,┬áTalent Development Specialist at Enterprise Fleet Management; and Emily Schumacher, Vice President and Strategic Solutions Manager at Wells Fargo Advisors, will participate in a panel discussion and provide their perspectives on being an ally in the workplace. They will also discuss how they’re working to create a culture of inclusion for people with disabilities.

Accessible Tour of Route 66: Main Street Through St. Louis

Our partners at the Missouri History Museum are excited to provide you with a audio descriptive tour of the Route 66: Main Street Through St. Louis exhibit. In addition to audio descriptive tours for people who are blind or visually impaired, tours are also provided in American Sign Language. These Access Tours demonstrate the Missouri History Museum’s commitment to accessibility.
