Allies in the workplace! What are they? What does it take to create a culture in which people with disabilities are comfortable being “out and proud?”
Join Paraquad on Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Missouri History Museum for AccessibleSTL: How to Be a Visible and Effective Ally.
Come and learn from Deb Dagit, the former vice president and chief diversity officer at Merck, and a highly sought after consultant and speaker on topics of diversity and inclusion.
How to Be a Visible and Effective Ally
Participants in this interactive session will learn proven and practical strategies for creating an environment that leads to people with disabilities being comfortable at work. Attendees will explore the business case, the medical vs. social/civil rights model, disability etiquette and how to foster disability allies, emulating successful strategies utilized in the LGBTQ community.
