The Governor has an Opportunity to Preserve Missouri Human Rights

Currently the Missouri Human Rights Act (MHRA) prohibits discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, age as it relates to employment, disability, or familial status as it relates to housing, ensuring basic civil rights for many individuals. SB 188 will weaken the Missouri Human Rights Act by first, changing the standard of proof making it more difficult for those that make claims to prove that they were discriminated against.

Missouri House Misses Opportunity to Move out of the Dark Ages
