Peer support is one of the four core services a center for independent living is to provide. Working for a center for independent living, I grasp the concept intellectually and acknowledge its importance. Yet as many things in life, there are moments that shine a light on a concept that just give it more clarity. One of those moments for me was watching the documentary Wretches and Jabberers.
