Paraquad hosted the 2^ndAnnual Starkloff Awards on Thursday, Nov. 17th.  Last year as part of Paraquad’s 40^thAnniversary celebration, the Starkloff Awards were established to honor the organization’s founders Max and Colleen Starkloff.  Each year the Starkloff Awards are presented to individuals and organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment and contribution to the independent living philosophy.

Tribute to Max Starkloff

"The legacy left by Max Starkloff is reflected in the thousands of individuals who today are living fulfilling and independent lives," said Robert Huskey, Paraquad board chair. In paying tribute to Starkloff, Huskey said the organization is continuing Starkloff’s commitment to people with disabilities, providing services annually to more than 4,000 participants in its 22 programs.
