Disability Awareness Community Presentations
Request a Paraquad Speaker

The Ambassadors of Paraquad are staff members who provide information on the programs and services offered by our organization to whichever group may need those services. Ambassadors educate the St. Louis community about disability-related issues and independent living. Presentations and disability awareness workshops are available to businesses, service providers, rehabilitation centers, religious organizations, and classrooms from kindergarten to university graduate programs.
Our staff can create programs on a wide range of topics and tailor a presentation to meet your organization's needs.
School Disability Awareness Program
This program strives to break down stereotypes about people with disabilities. It also encourages greater inclusion of students with disabilities in the community, school, work, and recreation. We offer disability awareness workshops to students, school administrators, and teachers. The workshops promote self-sufficiency and open lines of communication between disabled children and their non-disabled peers. Often times the Paraquad staff member presenting a Disability Awareness Program is a person with a disability, providing first-hand information about disability awareness.
