We offer several opportunities for people to become involved in Paraquad's programs.

Peer Group Support Leader


Peer Group Support Leaders will facilitate the newly restructured Peer Group Support Program. The Paraquad Peer Group Support Program's mission is to provide peer support to people with disabilities in the St. Louis community. Peer Group Support Leaders will share their knowledge, experience and compassion with others while soliciting and addressing the group participants’ barriers to independent living. (pdf | doc)

Peer Mentor


Provide one-on-one peer support to people with disabilities in the St. Louis community. Share your knowledge, experience and compassion while supporting and improving the lives of others. (pdf | doc)

File Clerk Volunteer


Help people live independently by working with Paraquad staff to sort and store important documents. (pdf | doc)

People First Assistant


Work with Public Policy and Advocacy staff to assist with the advocacy projects of People First of Saint Louis. Offer support to People First of Saint Louis members during regular monthly meetings. Assist Public Policy and Advocacy staff in preparing for monthly meetings and advocacy events. (pdf | doc)


Teacher Assistant for Continuing Education

By assisting the Continuing Education teacher, you will help future the education and independence of adults with developmental disabilities. (pdf | doc)

Data & Document Coordinator for Continuing Education

Assist the continuing Education Supervisor with tracking important documents and assist with connecting people with developmental disabilities to the Continuing Education program. (pdf | doc)

Public Policy Assistant

Assist with data entry for the Community Advocacy Network (CAN) and work with Paraquad staff to ensure action alerts are promptly communicated to our community.  Help with administrative tasks for the Disability Coalition on Health Care Reform (DCHR). (pdf | doc)

Peer Consultant

Provide one-on-one peer support to people within our community with disabilities. (pdf | doc)

Youth Group Activities Volunteer

The Youth Group Activities Volunteer will assist the Youth and Family coordinator with organizing, preparing and providing recreational activities for youth group members during monthly youth group meetings. (pdf | doc)
