Paraquad offers two distinctive opportunities to have a staff member speak to your organization or school.

Ambassadors of Paraquad

The Ambassadors of Paraquad are staff members who provide information on the programs and services offered by our organization. Ambassadors educate the St. Louis community about disability-related issues and independent living.

Presentations and disability awareness workshops are available to businesses, service providers, rehabilitation centers, religious organizations and classrooms from kindergarten to university graduate programs. Paraquad can create programs that cover a wide range of issues and tailor presentations to meet specific needs.

School Disability Awareness Program

Paraquad’s School Disability Awareness Program strives to break down stereotypes about people with disabilities. It also encourages greater inclusion of students with disabilities in the community, at school, at work and during recreational activities.

Paraquad offers disability awareness workshops to students, school administrators and teachers. The workshops promote self-sufficiency and open lines of communication between children who are disabled and their non-disabled peers.

Many times, the Paraquad staff member presenting a School Disability Awareness Program is a person with a disability who can provide first-hand information about disability awareness.
