Paraquad offers several opportunities for people to volunteer with our programs and services.

All prospective volunteers must register (or be previously registered) with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Family Care Safety Registry. Reasonable accommodations required by the volunteer will be provided by the staff supervisor in conjunction with the volunteer coordinator. All efforts will be made to meet those needs.

Data and Document Coordinator

Assist the continuing education supervisor with tracking important documents and connecting people with developmental disabilities to the continuing education program.

File Clerk Volunteer

Assist Paraquad staff with sorting and storing important documents.

Peer Group Support Leader

Facilitate the Peer Group Support Program, which provides peer support to people with disabilities. Share your knowledge, experience and compassion with others while soliciting and addressing the group participants’ barriers to independent living.

Peer Mentor

Provide one-on-one peer support to people with disabilities. Share your knowledge, experience and compassion while supporting and improving the lives of others.

People First Assistant

Assist with the advocacy projects of People First of St. Louis. Offer support to People First of St. Louis members during regular monthly meetings. Work with Public Policy and Advocacy Department staff to prepare for monthly meetings and advocacy events.

Public Policy Assistant

Disseminate information though Paraquad’s community and networks by announcing needs for action related to policy, legation and advocacy.

Teacher Assistant

Assist the continuing education teacher to help further the education and independence of adults with developmental disabilities.

Youth Group Activities Volunteer

Assist the Youth and Family Coordinator with organizing, preparing and providing recreational activities for youth group members during monthly meetings.
