Is there a part of your community that is inaccessible? Would you like to see more accessible housing? Do you care about accessible public transportation? Would you like to take an active role in changing policies? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you may want to become a Community Advocate.
Community Advocates are individuals who want to make change in their community through advocacy. As a member, you will develop or enhance your advocacy skills and become involved in these issues:
- Political participation and legislation
- Architectural accessibility
- Sidewalk, housing accessibility
The Community Advocates meet every Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Paraquad. During times of nice weather, Community Advocates go out into areas in Saint Louis to evaluate accessibility.
