Paraquad's Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services promotes independence and access to opportunities for people who are deaf. Highly trained staff work intensively to identify and address participants' personal goals.
Independent Living Skills Training
Participants who work with Paraquad's Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services learn effective communication tools and discover available resources in the community including adaptive equipment, peer consultation, and DEAF Culture training and development.
Employment Assistance
Paraquad's Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services provides assistance with finding and obtaining employment. Deaf and Hard of Hearing staff act as a liaison between employer and employee to eliminate any barriers that may arise on the job due to deafness. This includes job assessment, training in DEAF culture, and providing training on effective communication in the workplace.
