Ray Halagera


Paraquad, The Disability Experts, today announced the hiring of Ray Halagera as Interim Chief Operating Officer. In this newly created position, Halagera is responsible for working with Paraquad’s president and CEO, board of directors and leadership team to analyze and evaluate the organization’s performance, provide recommendations for improvement and growth and assist in implementing approved recommendations.

His background and skill set are the perfect combination to ensure Paraquad continues to provide quality programs and services to thousands of people with disabilities in St. Louis each year,” said Aimee Wehmeier, President and CEO of Paraquad.

Halagera brings with him nearly three decades of experience in program development, financial management and employee relations.

Prior to joining Paraquad, Halagera served as president of IMPACT Group, a global career development and career transition company. He has also held senior leadership positions at Career Systems International (president and COO), Strategic Management Group (COO) and Psychological Associates (COO and Chief Financial Officer).

I look forward to working with team members at all levels to continue that tradition of providing high quality services and position Paraquad for future growth.”

Halagera earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Purdue University and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Chicago. He volunteers as the finance chairperson of the allocation committee of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, and on the boards of directors of the Mary Culver Home for Visually Impaired Women and University City Children’s Center.
