Paraquad offers several opportunities for people to volunteer with our programs and services.

All prospective volunteers must register (or be previously registered) with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Family Care Safety Registry. Reasonable accommodations required by the volunteer will be provided by the staff supervisor in conjunction with the volunteer coordinator. All efforts will be made to meet those needs.

Peer Mentor

Provide one-on-one peer support to people with disabilities. Share your knowledge, experience and compassion while supporting and improving the lives of others. Applicants must have a disability to qualify as a peer mentor.

Teacher Assistant

Assist continuing education instructors to help further the education and independence of adults with developmental disabilities. This position requires evening hours.

Youth Group Activities Volunteer

Assist the Youth and Family Coordinator with organizing, preparing and providing recreational activities for youth group members during monthly meetings.
